Volunteer
If you’re interested in helping at the Museum, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to choose from. Some volunteers enjoy working in teams, meeting and interacting with visitors, while some are interested in the Museum archives; some bring practical skills to preserve the fabric of the building, and others keep the organisation working.
Every year we welcome over 6,000 visitors from all over the world. Our Stewards ensure everyone gets the most out of their visit and our archive team helps with more in depth requests. This all helps our visitors understand the town and its contribution to local and national history. Our heritage is a critical part of Dartmouth’s identity, and our volunteers are committed to keeping it alive.
See our available volunteering roles below. You can also request a volunteering brochure. If you’d like to volunteer, please complete the form at the bottom of this page.
