Join Us
Did you know that, if you want to visit us more than a couple of times a year, and you will, that membership is cost effective for you and is a huge benefit for us?
Members get other benefits apart from entry as often as you wish. As a member you can, if you wish, help to steer the museum's future direction, usually at our Annual General Meeting. Like all our volunteer stewards you can join in and help us in person, too. And you get, via email, only by email because postage costs a fortune, news of what's going on.
What are the benefits of membership?
- Admission is Free to all members
during opening hours
- Invitations to forthcoming exhibitions
- During the year visits are arranged to interesting places. In the winter months speakers are invited to talk on a wide range of topics. The Annual Christmas dinner is always popular.
- Newsletters
You'll be joining the Dartmouth Museum Association, a non sectarian, non political charity. All members are truly welcome.
Membership fees:
Single: £5.00
Couple: £8.00
So, how do you join us?
Easy! Download the membership form as a pdf file to fill out and post back to us by clicking the picture.
What we get in return is the ability to plan our financial year better, which means we can refine our exhibits, produce new language guides and acquire items we'd otherwise have been unable to consider. So please support us by joining us.
Gift Aid - Support Us Some More
 |
| Please help us a little more. We can recover some income tax from the government if you are willing to fill out the Gift Aid Form. A pdf will download when you click the picture above |
If you're a UK taxpayer you can help us some more. You probably know we can recover some of the income tax that you pay if you fill out the Gift Aid form as well.
Go on, you know you want to!
As it says on the form:
Your membership subscription could be worth about a quarter more to The Dartmouth Museum Association - at no extra cost to you.
That sounds like a pretty good deal all round! Even if you don't want to take an active part in the Dartmouth Museum Association, and we hope you'll want to, you can be sure that you're preserving a part of Dartmouth's heritage.
We think you'll agree that this is a really good deal. Everyone wins. Well, not Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, obviously, since they pay the Gift Aid to us! It's nice to get something back from the government, isn't it?

If you would prefer to have Microsoft Word versions of the forms so you can type your details in, the Membership form has fought back and refuses to be laid out well, so will not be available after all, and the Gift Aid form is here. However we are perfectly happy with either style of form printed off and posted to us. Not a lot of point emailing it because you just can't email a cheque! If you would like a Standing Order form (sorry, Direct Debit is not a facility we have yet), then please click our email address of dartmouth@devonmuseums.net and we'll handle that usually on the next working day.
Volunteering Opportunities
Every day of the year is a day we need a volunteer. If you have just a few hours you can commit to us several times each year we want to hear from you. And there are other things, too. None of them are jobs, not exactly. There's no pay! But they are things we would like your help to achieve. We've listed them on our Volunteering page.
