Our stewards try to make sure the drawers are open to drop you the hint that they are part of the museum, too!
Visitors have a tidy habit of closing them, which we like because it's neat, but that means you may miss a large number of our exhibits. So, when you see a drawer, open it gently and see what's inside.
Usually the bottom drawer has something hands on for younger visitors to use. The upper drawers show a selection of artefacts based around a theme. The artefacts in the upper drawers are protected from visitors' touches.
See if you can find a pack of Happy Families playing cards in these drawers. They were created by local artist
Simon Drew and used for fundraising.
