Those drawers are for opening - Hidden Goodies

King's Room drawers
These drawers are in The King's Room

Our stewards try to make sure the drawers are open to drop you the hint that they are part of the museum, too!

Visitors have a tidy habit of closing them, which we like because it's neat, but that means you may miss a large number of our exhibits. So, when you see a drawer, open it gently and see what's inside.

Usually the bottom drawer has something hands on for younger visitors to use. The upper drawers show a selection of artefacts based around a theme. The artefacts in the upper drawers are protected from visitors' touches.

Holdsworth Room drawers
These drawers are in The Holdsworth Room.
See if you can find a pack of Happy Families playing cards in these drawers. They were created by local artist Simon Drew and used for fundraising.
